What is Good Neighbours?

Good Neighbours is a community initiative by Hands of Hope, a Brisbane-based community organization. We are passionate in investing into the community around central south Brisbane, and operate several initiatives, including the well-known Christmas4Kids (now known as Christmas Fiesta) which is proudly awarded the Lord Mayors Community Event of the Year in 2006, and supported by Brisbane City Council.

Our Purpose

We hope to empower local residents to experience a solid sense of neighbourliness, and help you increase awareness of government, local council and community services available.

What are the Benefits of Good Neighbours?

Increased social interactions which helps to improve general well-being.

Increased community support when neighbours lend a hand.

Improved security knowing that neighbours will have each other’s back.

Improved neighborhood home values due to positive vibes within the community.

Improved acceptance such as diversity of race, culture, lifestyles etc.

Improved awareness of local services available.

How YOU can make a difference.

The key to Good Neighbours are “Street Connectors” – volunteer residents with a heart to build relationships with people in the neighbourhood.
