Our Mission

We aim to bring hope through practical means to build empowered and socially sustainable communities. We desire not only to empower families to lead successful and holistic lives, but also to work with young individuals and children through targeted programs and events to improve their quality of life.

Our Story

In 1998, Hands of Hope was established by Hope Church Brisbane. We serve as the community arm of the church and began our partnership with Australia Care and Trauma Services (ACTS) in 2004.

Hands of Hope is home to one of Brisbane’s award winning events called Christmas Fest. This event is our largest every year since we held our first in 1998. Since then, we have garnered increasing support from our local community and were privileged to have won the Lord Mayor’s Community Event of the Year award in 2006.

Our Values

To be inspired and compelled by Jesus’ love and seek to reflect Christian values through our service to others

To show empathy to the needs of others through listening and providing assistance whenever possible

To be responsible and effective stewards of resources, learn from our mistakes, and celebrate our successes

To acknowledge human diversity and treat others with dignity regardless of culture, social status and faith

To recognize the potential of positive impact of others and achieve sustainable living and long-term empowerment
