Volunteers are the pillars of our organisation. We couldn’t do what we do without them. In Hands of Hope, we are passionate about creating an environment for volunteers or staff whereby they feel valued and empowered for what they do. Current Volunteer Opportunities

Grant Writer

The Grants Writer plays a key role in support of HoH’s partnership and fundraising agenda, working collaboratively across HoH teams. We are looking for hardworking and passionate people to join the HoH family to help research and author funder proposals that contribute to HoH meeting our financial sustainability objective.

Food Parcels Deliverer

It is more than just packing the food parcels at our centre and delivering directly to our families’ homes, Food Parcels Deliverer also gets to build relationships with the individuals and families. You will need access to a vehicle to volunteer for this role. 

Food Pantry Volunteer

We are looking for energetic and hardworking people to join our Hope Pantry on every Thursday to assist with the running of food relief on the day and to connect and build relationships with people.

Donation Sorter

The core elements of this position include: purchasing and transporting food items from suppliers, sorting through food donations, updating the stocklist and maintaining the cleanliness of the pantry.

English Class Tutor

English Class Tutor seeks to support our friends from culturally and linguistically diverse background to learn English language skills in a fun and safe environment.

  • Must be above 18 years old
  • Volunteers must reside in Brisbane, Australia
  • Passionate and “can-do” attitude
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Hold or willing to apply for blue card.
