The Circle of Security® Parenting™ Program
Feeling lost about how to be a good parent? Do you struggle to work out what your children need from you?
Parenting can be challenging and it is normal to feel this way. We hear you!
Calling for all parents and caregivers of children aged 0-12 years old to attend The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program, a program that is beneficial to any family. No referral needed.
The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened. It is a relationship based early intervention program designed to enhance attachment security between parents and children.
Our Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is delivered by a trained facilitator working with Relationships Australia QLD in a small, engaging and relaxed environment.
Who is this for?
This is for ALL parents and caregivers of children aged 0-12 years old. You DO NOT need a referral to attend this course.
How will this help you as a parent?
Using the COSP™ model, you will start to see that your child’s need for attention is actually a need for connection. You will learn how to:
- Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read emotional needs
- Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions
- Enhance the development of your child’s self-esteem
- Honour the innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure
- Develop a positive and secure relationship with your child.
How will my children benefit?
During this parenting course, you will start to look beyond your children’s behaviour and identify and respond to their emotional needs. By attending this course your child will experience:
- Greater self-esteem and self-worth
- Better relationships with parents and peers
- Enhanced school readiness
- An increased capacity to handle emotions
What should I expect from the classes?
We provide a small group of 8-10 participants. Our facilitator ensures a warm and relaxed environment for personal reflections and group discussion during the class. Being in a group offers a confidential space where you can share your struggles and parenting concerns and learn from others experiencing similar challenges.
This DVD educational program presents video examples of parent/child interaction, healthy options in caregiving and animated graphics to explain how to have a safe and nurturing relationship with your children.
