About "Money Help"

Financial matters can be a major source of stress for many of us. Whether you are grappling with bills, concerned about debts, struggling to save, or managing a tight budget, help is available to aid you through this financial stress.

At Hands of Hope, we are here to help you build financial resilience so that you can gain confidence in your everyday life.

Money Help is a free and one-on-one community service designed to promote financial literacy and empower individuals of all ages and backgrounds with essential financial knowledge.

We aim to bridge the gap between financial awareness and practical skills so as to provide you with the tools you need to make informed financial choices and achieve long-term financial stability.

How It Works

Depending on your circumstances, we will assign a money mentor to work alongside you for 4 to 6 months.

We can discuss available concessions and hardship programs to help you make the most of your money.

We can assist you by creating a personalized budget for you and your household.

We can help you re-evaluate your income and expenses to facilitate your journey back to financial stability.

Sessions can be conducted either in-person or online.

Our Money Mentors

Our Money Mentors are professionally trained in helping people manage their finances, but they are not financial planners, advisors or counsellors. They will not advice or recommend any financial products or services.

If you have large debts or unfair contracts, we may refer you on to a Financial Counsellor or a free legal service for advice and advocacy.
