Christmas 4 Kids

Christmas 4 Kids is Hands of Hope’s flagship event since 1998. It is held every first Saturday of December, with the aim of bringing Christmas cheer to the community of the south-western community of Brisbane.

The typical Christmas 4 Kids event includes a wide variety of carnival games, jumping castle, face painting, sports, free food, live performances and lucky draws. It promises fun for children of all ages and the whole family. However, Christmas 4 Kids 2020 will be done differently this year.

Instead of the Christmas carnival event like what we have always done in previous years, we will be screening the Christmas movie – “The Grinch (2018)” under a starry night at Unidus Community Centre, on 12th December 2020, 6 pm (Please arrive at. 5.45 pm to check-in for the event).

Free popcorns, snacks and drinks will be provided. We will make sure every child goes home with a Christmas gift that night. BYO picnic blankets, deck chairs or bean bags! Please note that this is a kid-friendly event, alcohol and substance use is strictly prohibited.

C4K is made possible through the ongoing support by local services, local Members, Councillors, and of course, the army of volunteers made up of wonderful members of the local community and the Hope Church congregation.
