Hands of Hope is the community branch of Hope Brisbane Christian Church. It exists to demonstrate the love of God in a tangible way to the community. We desire to make a real difference to people’s lives through helping in practical ways, meeting needs, and providing support for families and individuals to rebuild their lives.
There are many ways you can volunteer at Hands of Hope. Currently, we are currently seeking for enthusiastic and passionate people who will be excited to our dynamic team!

The Social-Networker
You'll enjoy meeting and having coffee with community organisations and media to raise Hands of Hope's positive image in the public Responsibilities include:
* Keep in touch with community organisation, media and schools - especially for C4K. Availability and Regular commitment: At least 4- 8 Hours/Week Location: Church office or preferred location Length of commitment: 6- 12 months
The Business Savvy
You'll enjoy meeting and having coffee with businesses and philanthropists to invite them to invest a worthy cause - Hands of Hope Responsibilities include:
* Meet businesses
* Conduct business breakfast (or the like) to invest in relationship Availability and Regular commitment: At least 4- 8 Hours/Week Location: Church office or preferred location Length of commitment: 6- 12 months
The Creative Communicator
You'll enjoy communicating the passion of bringing hope to people in need in creative ways that captures people's hearts Responsibilities include:
* Website updates
* Multimedia and video-editing to promote Hands of Hope
* Hands of Hope newsletter and advertorials Availability and Regular commitment: At least 4- 8 Hours/Week Location: Church office or preferred location Length of commitment: 6- 12 months
The Story-teller
You'll love being amongst people we are reaching to capture their stories and photos - and telling everyone about it! Responsibilities include:
* Attend be the resident Hands of Hope journalist
* Tell these stories to our funders, business sponsors, church etc Availability and Regular commitment: At least 4- 8 Hours/Week Location: Church office or preferred location Length of commitment: 6- 12 months
The Fundraisers
You see the need to raise funds to helps Hands of Hope to further its good work locally and internationally. Responsibilities include:
* Develop a fundraising strategy
* Work on donations campaign for C4K 2008
* Savvy in how to attract donors Availability and Regular commitment: At least 4- 8 Hours/Week Location: Church office or preferred location Length of commitment: 6- 12 months
The Hands-on people
Office work is not your cup of tea! Your preference is to work directly with people - especially teens! We've got just the job for you! Responsibilities include:
* Help develop and run 'Capital C' - confidence building program for pre-teens in Inala Availability and Regular commitment: At least 4- 8 Hours/Week Location: Church office or preferred location Length of commitment: 6- 12 months
The Admin-Backbone
Policies and procedures are your passion! You love reading small writing in thick documents - and you actually understand it! You love working with systems and making them work! Responsibilities include:
* Help develop Hands of Hope into a stand-alone organisation
* Help get Hands o Hope incorporated, and work towards a DGR status Availability and Regular commitment: At least 4- 8 Hours/Week Location: Church office or preferred location Length of commitment: 6- 12 months
